The Vets Animal Hospital

We toook our 2 newly adopted kittens in to be checked out, to get boosters and then go back for the final boosters and rabies in a month. There was no charge for the visit if you brought in adoption paperwork. I have to say I got what I paid for. We were early, and the only people in the waiting room. Eventually we were taken to a room and talked to what we assumed were vet techs, very friendly. She left and said the dr would be there in a few. At the 45 minute mark I stepped out to ask the front desk if we had been forgotten, and was told the dr knew we were there but the staff stated he would double check. The dr came in shortly after that. First time there, he didn't introduce himself or apologize for the delay. He spent all of about 3 minutes between both kittens doing a cursory check. We left with several questions but didn't feel the dr was really interested. The vet techs were great, but we got home and thought about things and decided we would not return so I cancelled our next appointment. Our animals are an important part of our life and we didnt feel he was interested in our kittens, nor was he really present. I did tell the vet tech [who trimmed their nails while we warched] that we didn't even know the drs name. I expect interaction with the Vet, not just the techs.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! If I could give this vet zero stars I would. They are a big part to blame as to why my dog is dying of Mast cell cancer. His first tumor appeared over a year ago and they said it was a normal old dog growth instead of investigating further. A month ago I took him in again because he had more growths all over his body. The vet came into the room and spent less than 5 minutes just to tell me that it was probably normal and just old dog growths. When I asked if they could do a biopsy, he annoyingly said yes, advised me against it and then gave me a ridiculously expensive quote. I decided to take my dog to another vet who immediately told me that those growths were NOT normal and looked like cancer. During that visit she did a fine needle aspiration and found that it was cancer. At this point my dog is too far gone for treatment and is now on palliative care. Maybe his cancer couldn’t have been avoided but it could have been treated if the vet at this animal hospital would have taken more than 5 minutes to look over my dog. This vet is careless, rude, and money hungry. If you love your pet please take them elsewhere!

Knowledgeable nice vets. Iv been bringing my dog here for 8 years and they have been great with him.

My cat is deeply matted. I called and scheduled an appointment to have her sedated and shaved (lion cut). I was quoted $190.00. I was told arrive between 7:30 & 8 a.m. for an 8:30 appointment. We arrived at 7:45 and the doors were locked. A young man drove up and unlocked the doors about 5 min after 8. We took the cat into the building, the young man (with no personality) clarified what we wanted. Then he proceeded to determine that the Vet needed to examine her, give her a rabies vaccination (which she did not have) and added an additional $100.00 onto our bill. I was not happy and let him know, but accepted what he said and left her there at approximately 8:30 a.m. When we went out to leave, we had a dead battery - called AAA and waited 2 hours for a battery jump. During this time (around 9:30) my husband went in to check on the cats progress - there had been NONE. They were waiting for the doctor to examine her. After our car was started by AAA, 10:45, I went in to check on my cats progress and there had still been NONE. I asked the receptionist to go get her for me and we left. We had been there 3 hours for nothing, with our cat confined in a small cage. My cat is approximately 3.5 years old and has never been out of our house or confined, she is highly stressed, her chest is heaving when she lays down. I can guarantee, we will never go back there.
